FAQS: Exhibits Unit

What schools were involved in making the “Our Dreams” exhibit in the Life Sciences Gallery?

The “Our Dreams” exhibit is located at the end of “The Human Factor” section in the Life Sciences Gallery. The exhibit is a mosaic of sculpted tiles, built and painted by students from Pense, Souris, Davin, Marion-McVeety and Sheldon-Williams schools. The students were asked to think about the kinds of things we could do in the future to care for the Earth and to live with conservation in mind. They sculpted their ideas, and a 15 second recording was made of each artist describing his or her work. Now, Gallery visitors can push a button to hear each child’s thoughts, while enjoying their colourful artistic illustrations.
