Loan Kit Program for Saskatchewan Teachers

What are Loan Kits?

Loan Kits are packages containing specimens, books, activities and other materials about specific topics.  These Loan Kits are designed to be used in the classroom.  Teachers do not have to book a program to borrow a Loan Kit.

How do I borrow a Loan Kit?

Loan Kits are available on a first-come first-serve basis.  There is a limit of two kits per teacher, per month.  The RSM will send a written confirmation of your Loan Kit booking.

To book Loan Kits, contact the Program Bookings Coordinator or phone (306) 787-0814.

How long can a teacher borrow a Loan Kit?

Teachers can borrow Loan Kits for a pre-determined two-week period to use in their classroom.  Teachers are responsible for all missing or damaged items, and charges for such items may be applied.

Is there a fee for borrowing Loan Kits?

No registration fee is charged for borrowing Loan Kits, however:

Schools outside of Regina:
Kits are sent by bus.  The Museum pays shipping costs to the school and the teacher pays the return shipping cost.
Schools within the city of Regina:
Teachers are to pick-up and drop-off their kits at the Museum front desk.  Regina teachers who prefer to use a courier service must pay all charges.
