June Programs

During June we offer only classroom portions of our programs.  This will keep us out of the busy galleries and provide students with more hands-on discoveries.  All galleries are still available for viewing but on a Teacher Supervised Visit basis only.

Pick one option from each column to make a one-hour program.

Animal Homes (Grades K-2)
Learn about animal homes in our Discovery Room (30 minutes).

Dinosaurs (Grades K-3)
Learn about Saskatchewan Dinosaurs in our Discovery Room (30 minutes).

Fossils (Grades 4-8)
Search for Micro-fossils from Saskatchewan's prehistoric past (30 minutes).

Build an Ecosystem (Grades 4-8)
Explore the relationship between animals and their environment (30 minutes).
  First Nations Legends (Grade K-2)
Hear a Plains Cree story in our Buffalo Room (30 minutes).

First Nations Games (Grades 2-3)
Play a variety of First Nations games in our Buffalo Room (30 minutes).

First Nations Weapons (Grades 4-8)
Examine the changes in weapons used by the First Nations (30 minutes).

Ecosystem Lab: Sampling Techniques (Grades 4-8)
Learn actual vegetation sampling techniques used by ecologists (30 minutes).
