Throughout the year, we will be giving away special RSM centennial prizes to celebrate our 100th year such as our 100th visitor, 100th volunteer hour, the 100th ticket sold for one of our events, ... you get the idea. January 2, 2006 - 100th Visitor
The Museum kicked off its 100th anniversary on Monday, January 2nd by presenting a prize to its 100th visitor of 2006. Our winner, Evan Olson, received an RSM Centennial toque with an embroidered MegaMunch crest. Thanks to the RSM Associates for donating the prize for this occasion (other 100th anniversary merchandise is now available in the Museum Gift Shop).
February 27, 2006 - 100th Program Booking
The RSM congratulates Sue McDonald of École W.S. Hawrylak School for booking the 100th program in our centennial year. Sue McDonald teaches French Immersion Preschool at Hawrylak and has booked her students in Discovering Dinosaurs, one of the most popular of our Education Programs. For her centennial prize, we are pleased to present Sue McDonald and her classroom with some books about dinosaurs from Apperley Place, the Museum Gift Shop.
March 24, 2006 - 100th Classroom Visit
On Friday March 24th, the RSM congratulated Lisa Ellis and her Grade 2 students from St. Mary School in Regina for being the 100th classroom to visit the RSM in our 100th year. The class came in for our First Nations program – Family Life, just one of the Education Programs offered at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum. We were pleased to present the classroom with some gifts from Apperley Place, the Museum Gift Shop.
